Amanda Blake
Amanda Blake, born as Beverly Louise Neill, was an incredibly popular American actor. Her most famous role was that of Miss Kitty Russell on the TV series 'Gunsmoke.' In addition it was her first time playing in TV shows like "The Red Skelton Show', "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night'. Additionally, she acted in scores of films, such as 'Stars in My Crown' 'Duchess Idaho", 'Cattle town as well as 'Miss. Robin Crusoe' "About Mrs. Leslie', 'The Adventures of Hajji Baba', 'High Society' and 'The Boost'. Formerly a telephone operator, Blake was an avid animal lover. With her partner Frank Gilbert, was one of the first humans to successfully breed cheetahs. This American actor was one of the co-founders of the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL). It was her first committee member for the Humane Society of the United States. Blake has received many honours and was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Also, The American Cancer Society also gave Blake the Courage Award.
