Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian and TV personality best known as the host for The Talk, a popular talk show broadcast on daytime television. Sheryl was born and raised within Little Rock. Sheryl is from a troubled family. She spent most of her childhood taking care of her younger sister Frankie suffering from the disease of polio. She faced a lot of difficulties with her mother growing up. Sheryl states that her mother one time slapped her father for being too close. Sheryl joined the military after her college graduation. She started her TV career in 1992 after she made a cameo appearance as a frequent performer in the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she hosted her own show Oh Drama!
