Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist who is half-Spanish, and half-English woman. The father of her is Argentine from Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's previous marriage. She lived with her family at home in Buenos Aires from the time she reached the age of six up until the day they left for Victoria, London. According to Taylor-Joy's account, the move was traumatic and she decided to not learn English in the hopes of relocating back to Argentina. She was forced to transfer schools from Northlands in order to attend Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in plays. She left at the age of 16 to go to the school to take on acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was an actress as a kid who knew she would become an actor. Her dreams were realized when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
